COMPETITION
Nothing Wrong with a bit of healthy competition
Over the course of the year, DUSnowsports take part in a number of competitions to test our mettle against the other Irish universities. Every year, DUSnowsports participate in the two largest university snowsports competitions Ireland has to offer. These are Colours, and Inter-varsities.

Colours takes place in Winter every year. It is a competition between UCD and TCD. The competition is divided into Freestyle, and Racing. There are individual and team events so everyone is welcome to participate. Hot off a major W at colours in 2019, we will be looking to continue this stellar form into the future. Tryouts for the racing teams are held at the final training session before the competition.

IVs are the largest competition Ireland has to offer. This events pits all the major Irish universities against each other. The competition is hot and largely takes the same format as Colours, but on a larger scale.

COMPETITION TRIPS
In recent years, DUSnowsports has been attending the UKs largest dryslope event, BUDS. Hosted in the charming city of Edinburgh this event is a must see for any snowsports enthusiast.
​
Although, DUSnowsports does not compete at BUDS, it is nevertheless a nice oppurtunity to sitback, relax, and watch a few British students throw themselves down a hill.
